Team Priestleys came away with the first-place trophy in the 2021 Cayman Islands Marathon mixed relay team competition on Sunday 5^th December. The team of Nick Hemus, David Cottle, Laura Hicks and Alison Murphy emerged victorious from a field of 21 mixed relay teams in an overall time of 3:24:24 and impressively managed to finish 6^th out of 70 teams overall.

 

It was an incredible effort by the organisers to put on the marathon and for it to be so successful despite all of the current restrictions, and Priestleys would like to commend them on a job so well done. The event was a sterling success and it was great to see so many people out along the course supporting the runners, despite the pre-dawn start time.

 

The pressure is on to defend the title next year!
