PRIESTLEYS SPRINTS INTO 8TH PLACE IN ANNUAL ULTRA MARATHON
A team from Priestleys was delighted to finish 8th overall, and 3rd in the Open Team category, of the 12thannual ‘Off the Beaten Track’ Cayman Islands 50km ultra-marathon.
The team included Priestleys employees: Nick Hemus, David Cottle and Guy Dilliway-Parry and friends of Priestleys Letitia Eyles, Greg Dineen and Grant McHendry, with thanks also to Hayley Noddings who took on the role of photographer and team driver.
The challenging event is designed to emulate the renowned ‘Marathon des Sables’ and the course was designed by running experts to push race participants to the limit. The route takes in uncharted tropical bush areas, sandy and rocky beaches and unseen back roads on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands.
Priestleys entered a 6-person relay team and completed the challenging course in an impressive 4:01:45.2.
The Priestleys team would like to pass on thanks and appreciation to the organisers of this fantastic event and look forward to running again next year.
