PRIESTLEYS ADDS NEW ASSOCIATE TO GROWING TEAM
Priestleys has announced the appointment of experienced solicitor, Nick Hemus, as an Associate working in the firm’s real estate and corporate practices.
Nick joins Priestleys with more than six years’ post qualification experience (PQE) in real estate, corporate, commercial and regulatory law. Prior to joining Priestleys, he was an associate with UK-based law firms, Devonshires and Hill Dickinson. In addition to his legal experience, Nick had a previous career working as a project manager for a major financial services company, which has given him valuable commercial experience.
Nick Hemus commented: “Priestleys offered me an exciting opportunity to expand my legal experience by working for a broader range of international clients – and had the added benefit of allowing me to relocate to the Cayman Islands. In the UK, I worked for a number of institutional clients on major property transactions, and I enjoyed advising on all aspects of real estate law as well as clients’ broader regulatory, corporate and commercial considerations. At Priestleys I will be working across both the real estate and corporate practice groups giving me the opportunity to explore all areas of interest for both international and domestic Cayman Islands clients.”
Daniel Priestley, Managing Partner of Priestleys, added: “Nick is an accomplished associate who will provide our clients with the benefit of his UK experience, working for blue-chip clients at two very highly regarded law firms. Nick’s strong legal and commercial background means he is able to consider any transaction from a number of different viewpoints and provide well-rounded advice.”
