Gareth is a specialist family lawyer and heads up the family law team at Priestleys in the Cayman Islands. Gareth joined Priestleys in January 2025 having being Head of Chambers at the leading specialist family law chambers outside of London. Gareth was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2007 (now non practicing) and admitted to the Bar of the Cayman Islands in January 2025 as a family law attorney.

Gareth is a very experienced family law attorney who represents and advises clients in the full spectrum of family law cases, from matters involving divorces of high-value divorces, pre and post nuptial agreements to custody and contact disputes. Gareth regularly acts and advises in the most complex of divorce cases involving high and ultra-high net worth individuals, as well as high profile individuals. Gareth is also used to dealing with cases involving businesses, complex trust structures and assets located overseas. When practicing in England, Gareth regularly appeared, successfully before the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Gareth has been consistently ranked as a leading family lawyer by the Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 directories, which describe Gareth as "exceptional, approachable and extremely knowledgeable" as well as "a brilliant advocate."

Gareth has been a Family Law Arbitrator and Private FDR Evaluator since 2021 and was appointed by His Majesty the King to sit as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal in 2024.
