David Cottle Joins Priestleys as an Associate


Priestleys has welcomed a new associate to the firm’s corporate and commercial practice. 

David Cottle joins Priestleys with significant experience in a range of transactional matters across corporate, commercial investment funds and finance.

David studied medicine at Emmanuel College, Cambridge and then law at The College of Law (London).

He qualified in 2006 at Ashurst including secondments to Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan trading floor legal teams. David then went on to work as a vice president in emerging markets at Citigroup, an associate in distressed debt at Cadwalader, and then a senior associate in finance at Katten in London. He has broad transactional experience acting for investment funds, brokerages, banks and corporates – including in general banking, real estate finance, distressed debt trading, derivatives and structured products.

At Priestleys, David’s work covers the spectrum of corporate and commercial law, investment funds, finance and private client.
